 Alignment based yoga promotes and focuses on proper alignment of the body while practicing the postures (asanas) in order to receive maximum benefit and keep you safe from injury.  The postures stretch, strengthen, energize and relax the body and mind in every class.  Students are encouraged to stay within their pain-free range of motion and to move at their own pace.  Modifications are available for all postures and props are used to assist as well.    

It is never too late or too early to begin practicing yoga.  


I am an RYT500; Registered Yoga Teacher (registered w/ the Yoga Alliance).  I've completed over 500 hours of study and am certified by Etowah Valley Yoga.  I teach an alignment based style of Hatha Yoga which stems from the Iyengar tradition.  I'm committed to being a life-long learner.  

Specialty areas of yoga I am studying include:

Kids Yoga for mindfulness, focus and fitness.

Yoga for Pelvic Floor health

Since receiving my 200 hours of teacher training in 2012, I continue to personally experience the benefits of a regular yoga practice.  Yoga is much more than a physical form of exercise.  It's a means to achieving holistic health.  It's a life-style.   I always feel better ~ physically, mentally, emotionally and energetically ~ after a yoga class.
